About the Art In Bloom event: The 9th Annual Art in Bloom hosted by the Hagerstown Garden Club, will display the creativity of interpreting paintings, sculptures and decorative arts using floral arrangements. Twenty-five garden clubs, educational groups and organizations from the region will participate.
A special Preview Evening catered by Flannery’s Restaurant of Mercersburg, PA will be held on Friday, April 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tickets for the Preview Evening Reception are $30.00 per person and will allow the attendee to be the first to view the arrangements while they are at their greatest perfection and freshness. Designers of the arrangements will be present. Refreshments and music will further enhance the evening. Tickets are available in advance at the Museum, space is limited! All proceeds of the Art in Bloom weekend benefit free admission and programs at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.
The floral interpretations will continue on view throughout the weekend, Saturday, April 16th, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 17th, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Children’s Workshop: On Saturday, April 16th, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., there will be an Art in Bloom Children’s Workshop for all children ages 6 –13. Registration is $5.00 per person, please call the Museum at 301/739-5727 to register your child.
